When you've finished your cross stitch, you may want to put it in a frame. While this might seem daunting, fear not as Mr X Stitch is here to help. The Lattice Technique requires patience but pretty easy, and the results are worth it!
You will need:
- Your finished piece.
- Card - cereal box card is a good choice.
- Scissors.
- Thread.
- Needle.
- Low Tack tape - decorators' tape is good as it won't leave a residue.
The Lattice Technique gives you the chance to adjust the tension of the threads to ensure that your piece is pulled evenly tight, and you can adjust the card behind to make sure it is properly placed.
Oh, and when I talk about a locking stitch towards the end of the video, that's just a few stitches in the aida at the back to stop the thread from easily coming loose.
